Enrolling in Benefits

Benefits coverage for full-time employees begins on the first of the month following 30 days, and you have 30 days to elect your benefits or make changes after a Qualified Life Event.

Making Changes After Open Enrollment

During the year, you cannot make changes to your benefits unless you have a Qualified Life Event. If you do not make changes to your benefits within 30 days of the Qualified Life Event, you will have to wait until the next annual Open Enrollment period to make changes (unless you experience another Qualified Life Event).

Enroll

  1. Log onto your benefit portal, PIHHealth.org/MyHRConnect, and enter your User ID: (Employee Number)
  2. Enter Password: Password was self-created. To reset your password, call the Helpdesk at (562) 698-0811 Ext.14160
  3. Click on “My Benefits”
  4. Click on “My Benefits (Enrollment)”
  5. You will arrive on the “People to Cover” page (contacts).
  6. Enter the following fields: Effective Start Date, Hire Date, Last Name, First Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Relationship, National Identifiers – Social Security Number (click on add and follow prompts)
  7. Click the “Submit” button
  8. Click on “Back Arrow”
  9. Click on “Continue” to proceed

Common Qualified Life Events Include

  • Marriage
  • Welcoming a new child
  • Loss of coverage
  • Leave of absence
  • Loss or change in employment
